Have you ever found yourself trying to juggle driving with one hand while rocking your baby's car seat with the other? Yeah, not a fun experience. . That's where the Rockit Rocker comes in - it attaches to the side of the seat and does the rocking for you! Genius, right?
I recently got my hands on the Rockit Rocker and I have to say, it's a pretty nifty little gadget. I put this product to the test and was impressed with its ability to mimic a gentle rocking motion, soothing my little one into a peaceful slumber. As a parent, I'm always looking for ways to make my life easier and this tool definitely helps with that.
The Rockit Rocker is incredibly easy to use - simply attach it to your baby's buggy or car seat with the universal bracket, press the on button, and voila!. The rocker will create a subtle back-and-forth motion, imitating the feeling of being rocked in a parent's arms. It has different levels of rocking power to suit your baby's needs, and the timer function allows you to set it for up to 30 minutes, giving you some hands-free time to sort out your never-ending list of tasks! I mainly used it in the car and it was a lifesaver when I needed to stop to fill up on petrol or grab something from the shops quickly. I also appreciated the compact and portable design, making it perfect for travel or on-the-go use. It's lightweight and small enough to fit in your bag, so you can bring it with you anywhere you go.
Now, I will say that it's not the strongest rocker out there and it may not work as well for older babies or in larger prams. But for those early days when your little one just needs a gentle rock to help them fall asleep, it does the job just fine.
One thing to note is that the battery doesn't last as long on the higher rocking power, so it would be great if it came with a rechargeable battery. And while the attachment band can be a bit tricky to move around, I found it to be only a minor inconvenience.
As a Sleep Consultant, I do have some concerns about the potential for the Rockit Rocker to become a sleep association. It currently only lasts for 30 minutes, so if your baby starts their sleep period with the Rockit rocking them and then it stops, they may have trouble transitioning to the next sleep cycle without the movement. So, just keep that in mind if you decide to use it as a sleep aid.
Overall, I would say that the Rockit Rocker is a helpful tool to have in your baby toolkit for any parent in need of a little extra help soothing their baby to sleep. It may not be perfect, but it definitely makes life a little easier for new parents. Check it out here.
